Ocean Water Cocktail Recipe

This amazing sea water inspired cocktail is perfect for those summer afternoons by the pool! The shades of blues will make you feel like you are enjoying a day at the beach – not matter where you are. A combination of rum, curacao, pineapple juice and cream make this a little bit heavier than some of our other drink recipes, but the flavors are an explosion of beach inspired goodness!

Creating A Sugar Rimmed Glass

If you are interested in adding a sugar rimmed glass like we have in our images – then we got you covered! You will need a colored sugar which you may find in your local supermarket or you can purchase online.

For this recipe we used CK Products Teal Sugar and it worked perfectly – and the color was amazing in person. Below are the steps we took to get the sugar on the glass. This was the very first thing we did before anything else in the recipe.

Place sugar on a plate or wide bowl. Make sure you use enough to have the sugar be deep enough to leave a nice depth of sugar on the glass.

• Use the pineapple juice to lightly moisten the glass. You can either use a small sponge to rim the glass with the juice – or you can use a small bowl and invert the top of the glass into it to get it wet. The pineapple juice is just sticky enough to help the sugar adhere to the glass.
• After the rim is moistened then you can dip it into the sugar.
• Once you have your glass all prettied up then you can continue on with the rest of the recipe.

Ingredients:

• 1 oz Coconut rum
• 1 oz Curacao, Blue
• 2 oz Pineapple juice
• 2 oz heavy cream
• 1 oz coconut cream
• 1 cup Ice
